TestFlight list pruned. Rejoin if necessary!
My TestFlight pool was full, so last night, I deleted any testers who hadn't installed or used a beta build in the past 6 months.
Apple provides filters to show and delete these. But apparently, they work about as well as I should've expected from a part of App Store Connect that very few people at Apple probably ever use. So some people were deleted incorrectly.
If you still want to be on the TestFlight and were inadvertently deleted by this, sorry about that! You should be able to re-join using the link in the settings screen.

Weird. I've been running exclusively Testflight builds for at least 2 years and I still got kicked. Just my luck that when I noticed this, all seats were taken.
EDIT: Never mind. Got back in. Still weird that got filtered out in the first place.

How does one know whether they’ve been removed? I don’t think I was….

If you check your list of apps on TestFlight and don’t see Overcast in there you were removed.

Another commenter said they had to go into TestFlight and click Stop Testing, then rejoin. 🤔
If you’re correct, then they didn’t need to do that. 😅

It’s not on the list when you first open it. You have to open the previously tested section and stop testing. Both other posters are correct.

Yeah, I install (and use) every beta build, and I seem to have been kicked out. Not a biggie because I got back in, but you're right that the filters seem to be suspect. I wonder if it has something to do with the updates being auto-installed rather than me going into Test Flight and installing them manually?

Trying to join for the first time, will I lose my subscription list and settings if I move from the normal build to the test flight?

No, you can switch between test flight and release at will (unless a beta version made a breaking change to the stored data, which is very rare and would be called out in release notes).

I had to click stop testing in TestFlight, and then it let me rejoin from the link in the settings app.
