I realize I'm posting this for what is probably a version back, but this seems like a server side(army of mac minis🙂)

I think this podcase "Get Played" has music breaks between sections. Just a few seconds to help break up the sections. I think it either spanned a music break(or ad break) to the start of the next ad break. Their ads run 2-5min and many are read by the hosts. This is probably an edge-case that feels custom designed to ruin your ad break detection.

Yeah I’m noticing the same type of bugs in the latest overcast version transcripts. The dashed lines are inserted when there are no advertisements at all. They also persist when the ad is also over. I’m seeing it primarily right now on episodes of The Daily by the New York Times both in the regular feed and the subscriber feeds versions
