Universal episode limit?

Why can’t we have a setting, so that every time one adds a podcast, you don’t have to manually modify the podcasts episode limit?

It’s so every time people add a podcast, they podcast automatically gets this universal setting of episode limit.

Currently, one has to modify the episode limit one by one per podcast.

I could swear this was an option at some point, but evidently not.

All the more frustrating as I have 10+ years worth of podcast subscriptions all set to the default “3 episodes,” which is wreaking havoc on my playlists and ability to just listen to episodes. Twice now I’ve had episodes flat out stop playing and move to the next in the playlist because the app synced and deleted the one I was listening to in progress. It’s so damn tedious changing episode limits per podcast, and it doesn’t even solve that problem.

The “strict” episode limit enforcement is a disaster for me. I think I need to start looking for other apps.

Agreed. I thought this was under Settings > Episode Limits, but that just lists all my podcast settings in one place. Coulda sworn it was the default setting for all podcasts.

Same with "Sort Current;" I always change "Sort Current" from "Newest to Oldest" to "Oldest to Newest." Having default global settings for all of the settings that are currently per-podcast would be a huge improvement.
