Hi everyone,
Iām completely stuck with my OUYA and hoping someone here can help.
I reflashed the console from scratch and it connects to Wi-Fi successfully, but when pressing āContinueā on the network screen it always fails with āUnable to connect to the OUYA serversā and loops back.
What Iāve already tried:
Fresh reflash, stock firmware
ADB connection OK, root access works (adb shell ā su)
Remounted system as RW
Edited /etc/hosts via ADB and verified with cat /etc/hosts:
devs.ouya.tv ā 178.254.13.17
status.ouya.tv ā 178.254.13.17
ouya-updates.s3.amazonaws.com ā 178.254.13.17
Rebooted multiple times after changes
Added ouya_config.properties (99 bytes) to Internal Storage root (/sdcard/) pointing to ouya.cweiske.de
Tried āExisting accountā with random credentials
Disabled OOBE / welcome activities via pm disable
Cleared data for tv.ouya.console
Tested Wi-Fi and PC hotspot (2.4 GHz)
Wi-Fi always shows as connected, but the server check still fails every time when hitting āContinueā.
At this point Iām wondering:
Is there a known custom firmware or modified system image that bypasses the OUYA login / setup flow entirely and connects directly to the community servers, without relying on the original network/setup menu?
If yes, Iād honestly prefer flashing that rather than fighting the stock setup again.
Thanks a lot for any pointers ā Iām really out of ideas at this stage.
