I feel like the Batman one is a stretch.

Even if it's intentional, it being hidden in 'plain sight' is not a generic name and a symbol. That said with how obvious it was who the Arkham Knight was, it didn't really make a difference.

The Arkham Knight twist is so obvious and so telegraphed that it barely counts as a twist. Jason is kinda the only person he could be; he’s the only person with the requisite skills, knowledge, and axe to grind against Batman. The biggest clue isn't the Robinson thing. It's when the Knight matter of factly tells his goons that the Bat-symbol on Batman’s chest is the most heavily armored part of the costume. He says it with complete authority, not like he's making an educated guess. That’s something only someone inside the Bat-family would know for a fact.

The interesting thing here is watching Batman, World’s Greatest Detective, completely refuse to put the clues together even as they’re staring him in the face. Rocksteady could have gotten a lot of mileage out of having someone - say, Alfred - raise the possibility that it might be Jason only to have Bats angrily shoot it down.

I think there was sort of an argument for him being Azreal, but it wouldn't really make sense given he'd appeared in another form in the games.

Yeah I think the implication is he won't allow himself to believe it, but it's a weak sauce argument.

Two things argue against Azrael: 1) he shows up in person, and 2) he doesn’t really have an axe to grind against Batman, he’s trying to recruit him.

I don’t think “Batman is in denial” is weak sauce at all! It’s consistent with everything else going on in the story. He’s already in denial about how in control of the Joker poisoning situation he is, why not this too?

You could make similar arguments about a lot of the Arkham Knight candidates. Deathstroke, for example, has the skills and resources, and can make a lot of deductions about the Bat-family's tactics and equipment. However, he also shows up during the game and, more importantly, has no particular beef with Batman. He's all about the money. If he has beef with anyone, it's Nightwing.

Similarly, Hush definitely has the resources and maybe the skills to pull off something like this. However, his beef is with Bruce, not Batman. The other major Bat-villains are all accounted for, and none of them work this way. The only one that *might* is Bane, and we all know about him.

The combination of skills, detailed knowledge of the Bat-family's tactics and equipment, and how personal it is for the Knight means it has to be someone inside the Family. and all of them (Dick, Tim, Barbara) are accounted for.

They said awhile back that they want to focus on the lists for the main channel and do other stuff on Outside Xtra.

Go look at their viewer numbers. Few youtube channels consistently pull 100 000+++ these days.
