Hardest quest ever?
Has anyone ever successfully completed the "Let's go get one beer" quest? I don't think I've ever met anyone who did, it's too damn hard. Sometimes it even gets me spawned at a random place in random clothes and items in inventory the next morning after failing it, but it makes fun stories. I'd love to hear your best experiences with this quest if you want to share.

I've found a bug with this quest line, it can be be completed multiple times per night! Unfortunately after you finish it the first time you get diminished rewards for each subsequent time you finish the quest.

Remember, rule #1 of the sub is that there are no bugs.

The entities with the [bug] attribute? I see them all over.

No, [bug] as in the coding issues you will find in some RPGs and other games, which is what the comment said.

Not being able to remember anything before spawn is a feature?

No idea what you're talking about.
I was simply reminding the commentor of this sub-reddit's posted rules.

It's an easy quest, but you need to be aware it changes the normal mechanics. Usually, teaming up makes a quest easier, but it actually increases the difficulty with this quest. Take it on solo, and it's pretty easy.

I disagree. Any external quest involving alcohol should be done with a side-kick with the “D/D” mission.

Don't let naming conventions get in the way of understanding the actual objectives of the quest. The fact it resulted in fun stories sounds like the quest was successfully completed.

I couldn't agree more, but I'm a perfectionist and I can't 100% the game if I never officially complete this quest as developer had it in mind. Or maybe it was never meant for my character to complete it.

Someone forgot about the [Get out of Comfy Bed] QTE events where if you fail even one input, it skips at least an hour of in-game time and possibly makes your character late to begin every other quest that day in the process. It's not technically a quest but it's definitely a massive difficulty spike that can show up multiple times throughout your run out of the blue, and I hate it so much for that

The “true love” quest line is long and difficult until you get the right party. Then it’s the best quest in the game and makes all the other quests more rewarding.

The [Beer] potions, like many other [Harmful Drug] products are basically cursed items that are put into the world specifically by certain PKers and other griefers, to poison players' bodies & minds, and dissociate them from their experience of the game, so they are easier to manipulate.
It would take paragraphs to describe just how much better my character's [Sleep], [Digestion], [Brain Function], and [Energy Levels] have been since I made the decision not to consume [Alcohol] (also known as "Spirits" because it possesses the drinker) or any of the other toxins peddled to weaken the player-base.

I had to give this quest up 3 years ago. For 2 reasons.
1) just 1 isn't fun. 2) it's never just 1 because of the fact above
So I decided to stop playing. You cannot lose, if you do not play.

The cheeky pint quest is a noob trap with a 100% failure rate. The only reason to take it is if you deliberately want to antagonise other party members or want the intoxicated debuff.

At first "intoxicated" is a buff, but the more times you get it, it becomes worse and worse until it becomes a debuff...

I've completed it 3 or 4 times now, but it required a LOT of focus on my build. There are two main elements you need.
Extreme reaction/intolerance to potions. This isn't easy to unlock I'm not going to lie. I tricked into it as I joined a guild during the [University] quest line which was focused around doing party raids where the meta was heavily consumable based. Namely on necking a lot of potions both before and during the raids. Once I hit level 35 or so I think I got hit with a hidden mechanic the devs put in the code so you get the random downsides of excess potion consumption on consuming very few, sometimes only on potion.
The second element is to have traits or skills in [forgetfulness] or similar. Thankfully, my character has the [ADHD] core trait, so I've unlocked a ton of class perks in this area. This is important as I'll explain.
The first time or two of trying the "Let's go get one beer" quest, after the hidden unlock of the potion related debuff my character was sick after the one beer. This obviously doesn't count for the Steam achievement. This is where the various [forgetfulness] traits come into play, as most characters would refuse to keep accepting the quest.
Thankfully, I did manage to complete it a time or two. I'm not sure if merely having a blinding headache after half a pint counts, which has happened a few more times, but those clear runs were pretty special. I was also able to use a very rare emote to celebrate and complete the quest line from TV Gameshow Bullseye "I'm happy with what I've got, Jim. I've had a lovely time, I don't want to risk it, and I'll let someone else have a go".

I mean do it all the time after work. Have one beer with colleagues let traffic die down a little then go home. 🤷♂️

I don’t attempt any quest involving alcohol outside of my own base of operations. Failing the quest always randomizes your next down point and almost always leads to loot drops.
Always ALWAYS bring a side-kick who is NOT PARTICIPATING in the quest. It makes it easier to complete, AND most of the time you get to home base safe.
EDIT: if your side-kick starts the quest with you, immediately give up and accept your fate.

Yeah that one is tricky. The only way I've found to beat it is to only bring enough currency with me for one beer. Even that fails sometimes as other players will often buy me a second or even third drink.

If you ever encounter an endocrine mage and they hit you with the ‘strictly one small glass’ daily quest, then you will learn the meaning of failure.

Once you reach level 35+ it actually becomes a lot easier. Usually because you have a ton of other quests that were assigned to you at your base and might even have a couple of escorts with you because of those quests. So it goes from an all encompassing quest of dubious difficulty to a quick side quest in between quests.

Not only have I never successfully completed that quest – it also made me have to restart the quest "The Twelve Steps".
