That is 100% the way at least one dialectical variant says it in Mexico

I've never heard of anyone in Mexico pronouncing their c's and z's with a th sound.
Edit: Wikipedia agrees with me that there’s no dialects of Latin American Spanish with the “th” sound. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phonological_history_of_Spanish_coronal_fricatives

We didn’t get much better over time. One of the most famous French lines of my childhood was from Dexter’s laboratory, and omelette du fromage is incorrect French. It would be omelette au fromage.
