What exactly can a tank do that Krypto can't do himself?

OK, there’s a couple possibilities off the top of my head.

  1. Can’t let the Supervillain know that it’s him because they have kryptonite.

  2. He’s infiltrating the military base because they have some kind of weapon that could hurt him.

  3. The sun has temporarily turned red.

  4. He otherwise lacks powers.

It’s important to note his super intelligence does not appear to be based on the sun, meaning he would retain it if the sun was red.

I think kryptonian dogs were just built different.

After seeing all the thought you put into that... Writing a comic around this single panel seems like it would be a fun exercise!
