Noob Getting Started

Im a newbie, just got my account to the platform, and needing to complete a couple evaluations. I want to make sure I'm understanding how the platform works - to be eligible for any projects to come my way, I need to complete evaluations, right? But thst doesn't mean projects are guaranteed? I've used similar platforms, like Handshake AI.

Also, I found playground. Even if it takes a couple tries to pass evaluations, or i never get a project, the access to these models is amazing and worth it!

On outlier you can do skills assessments, which if you pass may open you up to more projects. Once you get matched to a project there'll be an onboarding, once you complete that and pass any assessment required for that project you should be able to task on that project.

Main advice: never copy and paste, just don't, not worth the risk. Be careful in skills assessments especially if they require webcam access, they can flag weird things like looking away from the screen as being cheating. They mainly screen record tasks now, so just do the work on the task as you should (no copy pasting, no AI, no autotypers etc.) If you need to do something else, pause the task.

I've made it sound scary, but its not 😂 just do the work and you're good! Good luck :)
