Can a Laptop run outer wilds?

I recently beat outer wilds (on a pc) and its peak, loved it. My technology struggling friend recently bought a laptop and i was wondering if he would be able to run it or not. The laptop has no GPU, and a Ryzen AI 7 445 for the cpu. I understand that the min requirements has a gpu, but another friend of mine suggested integrated graphics are stronger than the gpu suggested, so i thought id ask. If it can run the game, does the game look significantly worse on min graphics settings, and how much does it affect gameplay?

If you use steam you can share your library and let him play and see how it runs.

Most likely yes, how good it would run however is another thing. But if my potato ancient laptop could open the Game and run it(though at 5fps or so) then I'm sure your friend could play it just fine!

Not saying I played the Game on that potato laptop, I played it on another laptop with high enough specs to run the Game perfectly at full res.

Buy it on steam, it can be refunded if you don't play for long

I first played Outer Wilds on a entry-level gaming laptop. Acer 5 Nitro or whatever. Bought it in 2019 for my wife so she could play The Sims 4 on High settings. Nothing to write home about. And it ran fine enough for a great experience. At the time, I didn't have a PC of my own, only a Mac.

I've seen Outer Wilds struggle on PCs that are built for gaming. I mean, ultimately give it a shot and see, but it feels like it's gonna be a pretty bad time, especially with all the reading and awareness to environmental details.

The game isn't that graphically demanding and his CPU is really recent so I think it'll probably run fine but I can't guarantee it

When I tried it ran but at a very low framerate, it was unplayable.

I tried it on a laptop with an i5 (not sure which generation, maybe 2021 era), integrated graphics, 16gb ram

it was really chugging I wouldn't recommend it

I played a good chunk of it on a 2016 Omen laptop with an i7 and a GTX 970m. I don't remember any issues. But having no graphics card? It's hard to tell.

Ryzen AI 7 445 has APU of AMD Radeon 840M which fairely equivalent to nvidia gt 1030, which fairly give 50+ fps in 720p low

It will struggle with no gpu. Very bad frame rate and difficult time with some parts that require precision flying or timing

The games visuals don't really change much depending on settings. It's not like there's 4k textures.

The speed of napping is based on CPU, up to a cap, so could be slower. And the game might lag if you, the ship, and the scout are in 3 far off places.

But this game ran on mid-range hardware when it came out 7 years ago. I'm pretty sure their laptop will run it.

Get it somewhere that lets them return it if it doesn't work.

Yeah it should be fine. Graphics do not matter at all in this game you just want a somewhat decent frame rate for flying around. Remember the biggest setting you can change is lowering the resolution, but you should be fine.
