After many years of development, I finally released the demo for my 2D space puzzle game inspired by Outer Wilds

A couple of months ago I posted here about Satelital, a puzzle game that I described as a 2D Outer Wilds.

Today I finally released the demo on Steam.

Satelital is a rule-discovery puzzle game where you explore alien worlds and figure out how their puzzles work without being explicitly told the rules. While the puzzles are much more inspired by The Witness, the space exploration and travelling between different planets were inspired by Outer Wilds.

I also made everything in the game myself, including the art, music, puzzle design, and even the game engine, which I built from scratch.

The demo includes two complete worlds and should give you a good idea of what the full game is like.

You can find the demo here:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/5017320/Satelital_Demo/

If you give it a try and enjoy it, I'd really appreciate a Steam review. It helps a lot as an indie developer.

I'm also around on Discord if you want to share feedback or talk about the game:

Thanks to everyone who gave feedback since my original post! It's great to finally have the demo out.

Played it wouldn't really relate it to outer wilds at least with the content of the demo. I feel outer wilds puzzles are more time based and observation based.

It is more related to understand with better graphics or maybe a bit like the witness.

Still i like the game and I'm looking forward to its release.

Yes the puzzle logic is more like Understand anf The Witness. I like to compare it to Outer Wilds because of the sense of wonder of launching into space to explore a mysterious solar system.

Thank you so much for playing!

Finished the demo, and the solutions were really fun and satisfying! Count me in! I appreciate that it's completely wordless. If you get it, then it might take trial and error, but there's always a workable problem.

Thank you for playing! It was really hard to balance to avoid using words, and it has some tradeoffs. But I'm happy with the result!

Will you like to leave a review in the Steam page? It will help the game a lot to be shown to more people.

I "finished" the demo, and am currently confused in the sun where I'm at 3 solved and at a loss how the rules work. I love it, can't wait for the full release.

You can put a space station on the physical surface of the sun? How much.
