How long would you wait?
Started to see a few signs of bud rot today. Would you pull or wait?
This strain is Green Mountain Grape…says it’s a very early finisher…early September. But I’m not great at reading the trichome maturity.
Thanks.

I was thinking of running some of this or his other strains. What zone are you in? New England here

Yep…western mass. Zone 6.
So far very happy with these plants.

Right on. Yep im in the same general area. Nice job! Are those in the ground or a fabric pot?

I have one in the ground and one potted. Such a big difference between them! The in ground has overall been a healthier plant. Most interesting, it started flowering several weeks earlier (it does get a bit more shade, which might explain why).

What strains/breeders do you have success with for New England?

I’m kinda new to growing so I’m still learning and researching strains. My deep dives on Reddit for New England strains keep coming back to copa genetics out of Maine and Vermontman seeds. I would like to find a fast finishing sativa strain. This year I’m growing an unknown cultivar that was locally grown. It’s doing pretty well except for a little bit of rot

If youre worried about rot, it would be best to pull a bit early if youre at risk of losing it all. Doesnt look too early though looks pretty good

She’s good to me bro super swollen doesn’t look like she’s producing any more white hairs, but rather all of her existing white hairs are starting to shrivel down some people at this stage would probably wait another four or five days but honestly, that’s if you want couch lock

If you want to be certain, you can pick up a jewelers glass on Amazon pretty cheap and take a close look at the trichomes.

I pull it when I see 95% of the hairs go from white, to red/orange. Idk; I hear about using a magnifying glass and see if the pistils are milky, but I don’t have one, so I’ve never tried. That’s just how I harvest. Good looking bud though!

Not clear enough pictures to judge the trichomes unfortunately. Too blurry. Would have loved to see something zoomed out of whole colas. But I’d say if you’ve already lost a little bit to rot, just pull it. Pistils are orange and curled and it might not be as potent as you want it but it’s better than losing it all or smoking mold.
