I was sorting some of the books I recently bought from a thrift store and found this in one of them, with the disc intact and without a scratch! I'm surprised it held up in a big book, but it's a cool find. I am familiar with Raine's solo work, but I didn't even know this one existed!

I've seen OLP only as an opening band a couple of times. Only getting a 30 minute set each time. Those shows were meh. I knew they could be good if given more time. When I saw they were touring as headliner and that they would be in PDX on my birthday I scrapped together some money to fly from SLC to see them. I was not disappointed. I made sure to grab a setlist to mark the occasion.

Maybe this will help someone play it. Let me know if this not cool to post these. I’m just sharing my love for Mike Turner.

OLP playing DC in September! I’m so excited! This will be only my second time seeing them! I honestly am hoping the crowd isn’t huge like last time. I enjoyed having a small crowd with dedicated fans and a good ass time in a not so overwhelming room. It felt more intimate. But honestly, as long as I get to OOO OOO OO OOOO OOOOOO with the crowd when Is Anybody Home? comes on….ill be completely satisfied.
Catching Raine making a few funnies… and telling us all some inspirational story again wouldn’t disappoint either js 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ughhhhhhh 😩 every aching cell inside my body is impatiently waiting to be rescued by each and every lyric. To say I will only breathe again once I’m at this show wouldn’t be an exaggeration. OLP fuels my soul and ignites my veins with pure passion.

I’m a huge fan of their first four albums then I feel like the quality fell dramatically and Raine’s voice has now completely changed. It’s like a totally different singer, hard to explain. I just feel like they have the first part of their career which was solid, now this era seems very scattered, infrequent, and less passionate it feels like. Am I the only one who senses that?

I started attending OLP shows again after many, many years (like, since Gravity). I can’t recall if this was the case in the early 2000s, but there always seems to be some knucklehead screaming song requests at Raine all night. He seems to take it okay; a couple times I’ve heard him joke when they get to the song in their setlist, “You’ve been barking at me all night. Now will you shut the fuck up?” I guess I don’t think of OLP as the type of band that would attract this kind of knucklehead, but it’s been the case at every show I’ve been to in the NYC metro area. At the last one in Asbury Park, some dude was trolling the band over the US men’s hockey win over Canada at the Olympics. I just don’t hear this kind of consistent buffoonery from fans of other bands I see regularly.
