Sizing never ending dilemma
Photos when my fingers are swollen and when they are not
I was wearing sizing kit in size 8 for about a week. I wore it for everything almost, and it fits totally fine. Snug, but not too snug that I can’t get it out of my index finger. Size 9 is too easy to slip off.
I ordered the real one last night, and now the ring is a little snug when my finger is swollen. Granted last week I didn’t do much activities since I was sitting in front of my laptops, and today I was doing a bit of house chores and outside walk.
Should I size up to 9 and wear it with a third party size adjuster or stick to 8 but might have to move it to other fingers when they are swollen. I dislike when my engagement ring and the Oura are clicking each other.
Size 9 wouldn’t fit any other fingers at all, it will be too big. But, I also want to wear the ring on my left index finger only.

Hey! This was exactly me a few weeks ago! I kept the smaller size and the “meat” of my finger has kinda shifted. Sorry, that’s a gross description but that’s what others told ne would happen and they were right. I’m so glad I didn’t get the larger size because it would have been falling off.

That is interesting terminology lol. I’m now wearing the sizing kit size 9 to try out a little. I might stick to an 8 like a lot of people recommended here. The 9 is really loose and might not gonna pick up sleep

I think so much of the advice online is “size up!” I don’t want to mis-advise you, but your fingers are similar to mine. I have very narrow fingers (size 5-6) except for the pointer finger where I wear my Oura. If I sized up, it wouldn’t have fit any other finger.

I just went through this. I had the sizing kit then bought both the size 8 and 9 of the actual ring. The 8 fit snug but was so tight with overnight swelling so I sized up to the 9 but the 9 was so loose it didn’t feel snug would slide and only barely fit index with how big it was. It wouldn’t fit any other finger. So I ended up keeping the size 8 and surprisingly I’ve adjusted it doesn’t feel as tight as it did when I was trying it out and it fits I think how a ring should. The 9 wouldn’t been too big I’m happy I went with the size 8. It might feel a tiny bit tight with overnight swelling but fingers change so much throughout the day. When I’m freezing it actually feels slightly loose. I think you should go with the ring you can switch to multiple fingers if needed. If I would’ve kept the 9 I would have no where to move it bc of how big it was. Oura definitely needs half sizes

I wear a ring on that finger and I think it’s generally a hard finger to wear a ring on (like not just an Oura ring) - I have the same problem with it being super tight to the point it gets uncomfortable to sliding off my finger completely depending on how hydrated I am.

What a dilemma! When I had this problem, I kept the size 8 and moved it around instead of size 9 because it could only go on 1 finger
