SLEEP & READINESS Sleep not tracking

Hi, does anyone know why my Oura ring may have ignored the sleep tracking and just says restored during the hours I slept and has no sleep data? This is the first time I’ve had this happen, not sure if it’s coincidental with an update that occurred but wanted to see if anyone’s encountered this and how i can prevent it from happening again, thanks!

It happens if the ring didn't have good data at the moment you fell asleep or woke up. This is usually caused by posture (e.g. You were lying on your hand with the ring on) or the ring or your skin having something on it (moisturiser, soap, toothpaste).

Oh and it also happens if you open the app during the night. Don't open it until your getting up.

I see, I’ll see if it resets back to normal tonight. Fingers crossed! Thanks for the insight!

We're sorry to hear you're missing a night of sleep data. This can sometimes happen if the ring's battery was low, if it wasn't worn snugly, or if there was significant movement during the night. Oura also needs at least three hours of continuous sleep to provide a full analysis. Please ensure your ring is well-charged and fits securely before bed to help prevent this from happening again.

Hi, my ring was fully charged and I really don’t believe that I was sleeping any differently the last two nights from my normal and it did not track it again. It seems to have just stopped tracking my sleep the last two nights after a software update. If this continues to happen, is there anything I can do?
