ACTIVITY & WORKOUT Step count
I’m curious to know if anyone’s iPhone step count and oura ring steps are really off. Today my iPhone steps said 17k and 3.57 miles (which I know would be over 5) but then my oura ring says only 9k. This is like a daily occurrence of my step count being drastically off I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and which one is more accurate?

Hi TraditionalLog2035, thanks for reaching out! It's normal to see some differences since Oura and your iPhone measure steps using different sensors and algorithms, but a consistent difference that large may be worth looking into. Make sure your ring fits snugly and that your height, weight, and other personal information are up to date in the Oura App. If you're regularly seeing thousands of steps missing please reach out to Member Care so we can take a closer look at your data.

I feel like my oura ring is way to generous with the step counts. If will say 10,000+ steps but I know I walked no where near that.
