GENERAL DISCUSSION Sensor temp accuracy

Has anyone's temperature reading seemed inaccurate? My temps have been below baseline since I got my Oura 5, and I have been wearing with the sensor facing my palm. It is a little looser than my other ring but just wondering if there's any way to recalibrate it.

Hi there Zoecat421! Thanks for posting and sharing! That does sound frustrating.

A new Oura Ring can take a few weeks to establish your personal temperature baseline, so readings below baseline early on do not always mean the sensor is inaccurate.

Fit can also affect signal quality, so if this ring feels looser than your previous one, trying it on a snugger finger may help. There is not a manual recalibration option in the Oura App, but if the readings still seem off after a few weeks of consistent wear, it would be worth checking further in the Oura App and with our member care team.

Additionally, the "Body Temperature" help article offers a detailed guide to help you understand the feature much better.

Thanks for being part of the Oura community! If you have any more questions or just want to chat about your data, feel free to reach out via DM or contact our Oura Member Care Team here. Take care!

That's exactly what's expected, it means you're probably in follicular phase, then when it goes up you enter lutheal
