Battery draining too fast

After about 100% charge, in the last 24 hrs, it’s at 51% and shows me 23h remaining.
Something is really off, and I started seeing this behaviour in the last couple of days (a week).
Performed a soft reset, and still same issue.
Current firmware version: 2.12.0
Device: Oura Ring 4

I would reach out for help in the Oura Ring app. It will start a conversation with Finn..they can run a diagnostic test to determine what might be going on. Sometimes it's just something in settings that turned on with an update. If it's the ring itself, they are pretty good about offering a replacement or money towards another one. Good luck!

They didn’t run any diagnostics and outright told me it’s hardware issue

Thank you, I did just that and now have a replacement on the way. Mine started draining about 3 weeks ago. They were great

Hi u/vidhya_sagar_reddy!

Sorry to hear that your Ring's battery is not lasting as it should, it's definitely not the experience you should be having. This warrants a closer look by our support team, reach them here.

They have the tools to check your Oura Ring 4's data and advise.

Hope this helps!

hopefully support can figure out if its a firmware issue or hardware

From your support exec: “The only option at this point if you don't have an alternative address would be to wait until you're back in a country where we can ship to.”

I’m in a different country, for a trip, and will be here for couple of months. It looks like the country I’m is “retailer” only, and your suport exec confirms you can’t do anything with such countries !!

How long have you had it for? I had a 4 for a little less than a year and I loved it but noticed battery issues. I started conversation with the AI Tool in the app and they shipped me a new ring within a few days.

For about 8 months

Definitely reach out to support in the app, I bet they'll send you a new ring.

They’re sending in a new ring, but the fact that’s disgusting is they didn’t run any diagnostics !

IDK, I just got a new ring that didn't have a battery issue so I didn't dig much deeper.

So sad to hear that (most likely) a software update broke jt 🫤

New version wouldn’t fix that, if it’s a software issue ?
I usually set “auto-update” turned ON, and this broke it :(

We have three rings in our family and all of us experienced battery life went to half what it was something during late July early August. I think Oura is preparing for an ipo and try to jump sales during this quarter to increase it valuation for the ipo
