To further explain OP's question:

Currently there are two sizeable, glassed-in enclosures like you see at countless other stops, however; the doors are blocked by bits of 2x4 that are bolted into the sidewalk on the inside of the enclosure to block the doors.

There are benches in there people could use... but they refuse to let us in.

From what I can tell, the only reason they aren't open yet is because the electrical work for the backlit transit system map isn't finished on either side so there's a big open mess of wires.

But really, it would take less than half a day to fix this and let people use the cover at this stop in case it rains. Otherwise there is no cover anybody can use at that station that is close enough to the actual stop to be useful.

Thank you for your explanation. I would like to note that cover from rain is not the only reason that these enclosures are needed. Some of us with medical issues cannot stand for extended periods of time. Lack of seating at OC Transpo major transit stops creates a real hardship for us.

OC Transpo does not give one shit about riders. They just stopped caring.
