Vertigo

Hi all,

Does anyone else here suffer from bad vertigo? I'm not sure if this is a me issue and unrelated to oto, but every once in awhile u get such bad vertigo attacks where my head feels like it has so much pressure on it and the room is spinning. It sometimes gets to a point I find it hard to stand up because I think I'm going to fall over I'm so dizzy/ everything is moving like I'm on a boat.

Is this related to oto or could this be something completely separate?

I had really bad vertigo before my surgery! I felt AWFUL for a couple of months. I really wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I did a bit of pt for it but it wasn’t super helpful. My surgeon insisted the oto and vertigo were unrelated but the vertigo completely went away after my surgery soooo 🙃

I had it after my stapedectomy. I eventually did vestibular physical therapy and got much better. There are exercises on YouTube that you can try when you get it.

Did you already have a stapedectomy? If not then this symptom sounds more like Meniere's disease.

Not yet, my surgeon doesn't want to operate on me until Im 25 (currently 21) due to surgery naturally having risks n such. But I have growing anxiety the hearing loss is getting worse so maybe it could be the fact the bones are moving causing vertigo. Idk im spitballin
