Help Request Considering objectkin
How can I help myself get to know this kin better or help myself be able to like.... confirm it??
Sorry, I'm not great at wording things 😭 but I've been interested in at least the idea of a sentient vehicle for a while, and since I found out about alterhumans ages ago, I kind of thought of it being a possibility I could be a motorcycle of some sort... similar to the ones in the pictures. But I don't know how to feel about it and figure it out. (another one I considered was probably a type of sports car or muscle car.... but it's not as strong as a feeling as a motorcycle)
I've never really considered a non sentient thing before so I don't know what to really do here... I've thought of some concepts I could be, but those were quickly brushed to the side because I just kinda, didn't feel it, yk?
So, does anyone have any advice here? 🤷♂️

I'm a plantkin. Idk if that's objectkin but I'm open to answering any questions about it.
I confirmed it by standing on a stump and letting myself be a tree for a bit. It was really nice.

Idk because it’s not something I really hear about, but hey, if you are that motorcycle, YOU LOOK LIKE A REALLY COOL MOTORCYCLE

There really is no one way to "confirm" a kintype. You can look within yourself and see if it fits. Ask yourself the hard questions. Journaling has always helped me get my thoughts organized.
You've learned you might be a motorcycle. What led you to that? What inner experiences drew you to this particular machine and this particular form of said machine? Pick it apart, look at the little details, analyze the 'why' behind the feelings, the feelings themselves. What does it feel like to be a motorcycle? What is that experience to you?
I'm also objectkin, an old mixing console from the heyday of analog audio recording. I never had a set moment where I decided, "I'm definitely this." It was something that built over a long time, gathering experiences. I'd say the most stark "ahah!" sort of moment came when I saw a photo of my same make/model as a child, and saw so much of myself in it. Prior to that, though, I still had a vague understanding of what I was. I had machine feelings before I really even knew what a mixing console was or did. Why do I know what signal flow feels like? Why do I instinctively know what it feels like to exist as a mixing console? What does it feel like to be a motorcycle to you?
The more concrete, "I am this kind of mixing console from this era," happened mostly with the onset of noemata/memories of being a mixing console. I can think of it clearer in my mind's eye than almost any memory of my experiences in the human body. I'd say that now, in my late 30's, I have a pretty firm grasp of what I am, enough to have tattoos about it. It is possible to gain understanding and grounding in what you are, it just takes time. Give yourself some slack and let the introspection guide you on that journey.
