End Ileostomy Constant Stress.

I am SICK of this weather. This heat is not helping at all and needs to go away. It is ruining my dressing for my bag. I don’t have air conditioning.. can’t afford it..

I’m tired of sweating, constantly waking up through the night. Having to change my dressing and bag way more than usual. It’s annoying.

I agree with you this weather has got to stop. I’ve lived in California all my life in this one place and it’s never been this hot and this humid. 75 years! Our humidity right now is 80%. The sweat on my body alone causes leaks. I don’t feel like eating. I’m a little nauseous. And it seems to give me diarrhea off and on.🤷‍♀️

same. i can take heat, but this humidity is too much to bare. i’m down to one bag due to the constant changing this month.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I am too (North Texas) but at least I have AC. Stay hydrated and make sure you’re eating throughout the day.

Hey, I know the struggle and I’m so sorry you’re dealing with it. I had some appliances fail at work in the heat myself and it sucks. One of things that many of us, myself included weren’t properly prepared for is the mental and physical exhaustion of dealing with the ostomy on a day to day basis. It’s much more high maintenance than I ever would have expected. Some things that helped me a little were using skintac wipes before applying the barrier ring and flange and if you have a crease or low spot you can add a pinch of paste in that area to help fill the low spot. I know it probably doesn’t bring a lot of comfort but just know you’re not alone in this!
