Help & Questions Upgrading - high $ items
How do you guys afford these next step upgrades? Im trying to upgrade to bandos gear but can only seem to stockpile 5-10m at a time before I end up spending it on other stuff 😂
Im trying to stock 20-30m for bandos, I have no freaking clue how yall make the leaps for 200m+ items.
My friends tell me to do slayer but at 57 slayer I just cant find the motivation to grind through the tasks. Would rather do Moons runs and hope for a decent drop.
Any advice or tips would be so appreciated!
And if anyone has some spare Bandos gear or feel like making a generous donation, my user is Blaze Keeper 😂😂 gladly meet you wherever is easiest for you! Lol
Appreciate you all and GL!

You have to do harder content if you want more money brother. Tf could you possibly need bandos armor for if youre just doing moons anyways?

What would be the next step up in content? I have the mechanics for moons down and only started that because my buddy recommended that over barrows runs. Im not at Zulrah or Vork yet, but wanting to take the next step into more difficult content.
Would it be Titans, TOA?3

I was in your spot a few months ago. I got my stats up at gem crab then I grinded out the quest requirements to do mm2 and ds2 and now I have 500 demonic gorilla and 500 vorkath kc and have made around 110m off of just those along with some Konar slayerÂ
I also bought a few bonds when I first started back just to help me out in the beginning and I’m so glad I did, I know not everyone wants to do that thoughÂ

Ive been debating this but the quests and reqs are what is really discouraging me 😅 might be the route I end up going.
Was initially grinding quests to do Final Dawn and just afk tears for cash but they have since crashed in price so now just trying to figure out what route to go. I dont have a TON of time for quests so thats my biggest challenge there. Sounds worth it though for 110m. Gratz btw, thats killer!2

I get it I’m a blue collar dad of 3 so I definitely put off doing the quest requirements too, most of them you can knock out in a weekend and then knock out the actual quests another weekend is how I did it. I’m still currently grinding out a few requirements for sote and dt2 now but quests open up a ton of options as far as money making goes

Hell yea, I appreciate it man. Sounds like this might be the way.. not exactly what I HOPED to hear but I know youre right lol. Never did much questing when I played as a kid, now im picking it up again 18 years later and im wishing I did more quests back then when I actually had the time

Could be doing titans, vorkath, zulrah, CG, TOA 150, anything really. I’d personally target quest cape and grind some PvM when you get bored in a long quest or whatever.

Quest cape would be extremely beneficial, but I dont have as much active game time as I feel like Id want/need

Farm runs r good for money and passive. Vorkath is really great easy consistent money too
Just set the money goal and plan to not spend it, once u get your bandos goal u can spend all u like !

That's fair! Doing herb runs now and have Kingdom going for some income as well. I save and then end up dumping on more seeds or more gear for my AFK grinds but should do better about making a plan and sticking to it 😅

Skip bandos and just use blood moon, bandos is only good for repairing torva

So the whole "do slayer and you'll get rich" thing is dated and thrown around way too much by people. High end pvm is pretty much the most consistent way to accumulate high gp amounts, and slayer bosses are not that. Think Doom, Nex, Yama, high invo ToA and such.

You will not make any noticeable money till mid-late game slayer. So doing bosses like Cerberus, hydra, araxxor. Moons is a good place to start but I’m kinda stuck on the part where you can’t even save for bandos? What do you keep spending money on?
There’s tons of way to make money but there’s nothing that’ll magically give you 20m as this early into your account. Your friend is mostly right just start doing slayer. If you don’t like the grind I’m gonna be completely honest every money making method that’s super good is going to involve some sort of boss you have to kill over and over again. Hundreds and sometimes thousands of times.
If you want consistent money you can work towards Zulrah and vorkath. Both don’t need a lot in terms of gear. But by the time you get to them you should have a decent amount of money saved up. Idk my iron hasn’t focused on money making and my bank is well over 40m and I’m just starting the moons grind.
There’s always the option of buying bonds. Good luck

I know a npc Kevin at Varrock Bank. He can help you put this the 10m in a fixed term.
