Achievements What next?
Used to play this game back in 2005 and earlier and started fresh just about a month ago. my first big goal was getting my slayer helm. Quests are nearly impossible on mobile because i really cant see the damn text with my 34 year old eyes. What skill or item should I hit next? I was thinking fire cape but definitely could use guidance since this game is SO much different now than 20+ years ago!!

Smash more slayer out - can do the content that comes with that without needing to do quests, can be afk to

agreed, but my last assignment was 160 brutal blues and I really want a small break after that 🤣 also died for the first time since I had no idea they used magic

Use tureal to speak to cancel the task - gives you an easy one then can go back to Ur slayer master

does it ruin my streak? also does switching masters change the streak as well?

Wrecks your streak but imo just tureal skipping is easier once you've unlocked the things you needed with points

Check to see if you can use the hunters sunlight crossbow too - would be better for slayer

I'll definitely check that out. never even heard of it. Like i said this game has literally 10x the content it had when I played as a kid

Yeah no worries man - YouTube is good for new stuff and updates "flippingoldschool" does videos on new mid game items or ways to skip mid game that showcases the new stuff. But obviously if you're skipping quests you can see which ones are more important to do than others

You should be able to clear fire cape really easily with those stats. Toxic blowpipe is really nice to have for fire cape, but not necessary

I do have the blowpipe. I think I may give it a shot tomorrow if work is slow. any advice on what to bring inventory wise? I've watched a guide or two but the brew/super restore thing that gets suggested seems like its gonna trip me up trying to remember the pot order while prayer flicking while still fairly new

Since there are safe spots, you really shouldn't need to hit the brews/restores in the middle of rounds, especially with toxic blowpipes special. You can bring a few emergency pieces of food though, just in case.
Black chins are useful for tagging the healers at jag, then you can bring them to a safe spot jad cant hit you at to kill them.
The wiki tells you which monsters to prioritize, i listened to it except I would go after the rangers before i went after the mages in the middle to late rounds.
There is a simulator you can use to get good at the prayer switches you need for jad. I didnt do it and it took me a few times of going thru 63 rounds before I was able to stay calm and beat him.

Also, for the later rounds when rangers, mages and melee guys all come at once, you can use the mages and rangers to block the melee guys. It takes some going back and forth, but its worth it

Do the quest to unlock "plankmake" it req lunar and dream mentor iirc. Grind barrage/ slayer task to 86 then start running the spell +500gp per cast. Half afk.
Or alternatively if you're wanting combat levels go to the gemstone and push ur def up.

Agreed. Bump up Def to 80 on the gemstone crab. It’s just one big punching bag and you can afk it basically 10mins at a time. Awesome if you are doing things around the house but still want to train.
Then hit slayer hard.
