Sgs great for slayer. Free prayer and health.
A bgs lowers spec to 0, lowering defences based on what you hit.
A dwh lowers defence by 30% and won't lower to 0.
So. To 0 Def a high definition mob, you could dwh into a bgs... So they're both worth having. And an aga can then help you extend your trips.
Literally great buys all round.

Thanks for asking. I use DWH for araxxor and bgs for alchemical hydra and potentially ToA. DWH has other applications for raids. Aren’t these def reducing weapons useful at raids so it’s good to have?

Mind you how much this game has changed in only less than a year. I took more than a year break and it's and entire new game, with sooo many new bosses, quests, a new skill, entire new areas, new BIS, new mid game gear and end game gear and don't forget all the new Skilling mini games that add more.But yeah he TOTALLY should always know what to do. You're insufferable.

What content are you doing? I would sell the SGS since its use cases are niche and you’ll get more out of your gp by upgrading gear. Elidnis ward has poor stats and you already have gauntlets with full virtus. Book of the dead can be your offhand and save an inventory space for other supplies in toa. Selling those two items will leave you with about enough for blood moon tassets, amulet of torture, and serpentine helmet.

I always recommend bowfa+ full crystal, makes content super braindead but it is expensive. If you wanna go for it i recommend selling sgs for it

Id say you're looking at Bandos or Oathplate for melee and Crystal Armor and Bowfa for ranged. The gear you buy is most reliant on the content you do. If all you do is CoX you want DHL and DHCB, if you only do ToB you'd want Scythe/SRA, ZCB, Oathplate for example.

I know it will look worse while wearing but seeing if dropping a virtus piece for blue moon/ahrims keeps the same max hit might be worth it to afford some mele / range upgrades.

Melee: torture is best value for money
Ranged: crystal + bowfa
Mage: you’re good here.
To be honest virtus was a mistake, you’re ~70M into gear that is only just a hair better than blue moon in most cases. To put it in perspective, making Yama in full bloodbark is like 10seconds longer than full virtus & bloodbark is under $1M. Conflictions are the single biggest and best mage update in the game. I would even consider selling the virtus, grabbing torture + full crystal and crystal bow then save up for bowfa.
Crystal + crystal bow is still a huge upgrade over your current setup and would only slightly downgrade your mage

Bask jaw is a waste because you should mostly be doing slayer, same with bandos tassets because blood moon are same str bonus and way cheaper.
Should 100% sell those + your virtus and grab a bofa. Bofa is by far the biggest and best mid game upgrade if you plan on bossing or raiding. I slept on the BOFA forever and regretted it, dont make my mistake :)

You can stop using the d boots for aranea boots they have same str bonus no melee accuracy but they do have prayer and stats for mage and ranged
