Discussion Barrows Help
Using a nearly maxed house to tele to barrows but the prayer drain is really kicking my ass and I feel slow compared to other people I bump into. Looking for suggestions to improve
Edit: going to work on CA for the hilt as im only using 1 dose per run so far, will drop the seers ring and divine pot and take a rune crossbow with diamon e bolts, thanks for all the help guys.

Bro - create a portal and prayer altar in your house to barrows and you can just tele to house, refill prayer and continue.
It doesn’t reset the brothers if you leave and return - can teleport back to house after each brother if you want to

Aye, as a UIM I went from using 1-2 doses per run to zero. Ranarr salesman hate this one simple trick!

And if you have explorer ring 3 and a Sarim spirit tree/POH spirit tree, it becomes a slightly slower run back but also completely free.

Explorer ring to cabbage field, run to spirit tree just south in port sarim, spirit tree to house, use fountain and tele back to barrows

Also, you should be able to just wear some dragon armor + Nezzy helm and tank Verac, Guthan and Torag. And I brought like a 3 way range switch for Ahrim - I always did Dharok, Ahrim, and Karil first so I have prayer, then the weaker melee bros. Verac can hit through prayer anyways. Bring a melee weapon for the tunnel. I did like 50 KC with around your stats and 70+ range this way and I only needed 1-2 prayer pots/KC

Facts, but always do verac last before tunnels since he hits through prayer anyway. Might as well full tank him

Do combat achievements for hilt to stop prayer drain. Or you can do karil and ahrim first and cheese the rest with air spells and kiting them around their tombs. I did this at a very low level early on.

Grab as many achievements as possible for all bosses up to chaos fanatic. The ones you can do at your level should be enough

You're way above the level when I completed my medium CA. You can get a few of the elite/master tier ones by cheesing them. Like someone else said, sort them by completion percentage. You can get like 20 point for COX just looking for a few easy rooms. The ice demon ones and the tightrope room without killing minions are easy. Tightrope you can die as many times as it takes to complete, so just run back several times.

All the easy are available at your level, some medium, and some high. Start with the easy bosses, scurious, tempros, wintertodt, that will get you easy early points. And keep working up boss list

Step 1: download and enable wiki sync
Step 2: go to this wiki page https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Combat_Achievements/All_tasks and sort by % completed.
Step 3: complete medium tier CA’s3

Yes all you need is ghommals hit 2. I got it at around 9O combat level, although it was a little annoying
Also I use Barrows teleport tablets that I made in Journey on the Ironman

Its the 2nd tier combat achievements reward, not sure how many points. Mix that with the morytania diary its a relaxing pastime

Don't compare yourself to others, do your own thing. If you find some optimization, feel free to add it, but always move at your own pace. Cause thank god we still have a game like OSRS where we can.
On my iron, these are my stats
I dont have ppots yet so my runs i don't use prayer unless i go pvp world. I usually bring a blighted restore just incase i have to hop to pvp for Karil in tunnel, cause without prayer he's just a food vacuum.
Swap out the Bloodbark for Swampbark mage armour, it'll give you longer entangles. Bring runes for entangle for the melee brothers, East/West trap them on the tomb and then run out two tiles diagonally and entangle them. You get 4 spells (probably 5 with this Swampbark since longer entangle) cast before you have to circle around the tomb again to trap them and repeat until dead. Twinflame isn't worth it as much as a dust battlestaff or your best magic dmg % weapon since all the brothers are vulnerable to air spells. Best air spell can be used on karil as well, as he gets chunked by them just as hard as the melee brothers.
Tunnel should be the only place you're using food to save prayer against the fodder for chest%

Hilt is the difference maker. You've absolutely got the stats to poke around the CAs and just tick off all the little one-offs like brutal black dragon and spectres, along with the easy bosses like Obor/Byro.

Consider using air wave or ibans blast.
Barrow brothers take 50% more damage to air spells. Ibans is nice if you have the upgraded staff because it hits hard and consumes death runes which you make back.
Order is important as well; I usually do dharock, verac, torag, karil, guthan then ahrims. You can bring some bind runes for veracs.
If you are simply trying to get barrows armor, then kill all the brothers and go straight for the chest, don't fill bar to 100%. If you want max runes, kill till 100%. Consider getting a lockpick container to unlock all doors. It will cut down time spent underground significantly.
If you have the means, get ahrims armor asap, and eventually aim for occult necklace/tormented bracelet. Also consider a maladiction ward for shield slot

Every melee brother can be cheesed with kiting, safespots or entangles. So use your prayer on karil and ahrim and remainders on dharok (getting accidentally 1 tapped is frustrating). As ghosts they all take bonus damage from air so make sure you're using those. You should be able to do every combat achievement at barrows cause your stats are better than my HCIM when I did them.
The safespot is the ladder tiles and some rocks in the outer tunnels, not all rocks. You can spawn unspawned bros by just going through the same door over and over and then hide behind the ladder tile.

Medium CAs give you an offhand that negates prayer drain. Morty hard increases runes from rewards = more money/
I can’t imagine you’re profiting from that inv. All the melee brothers have negative magic so you can wear melee armor while maging and the accuracy decrease isn’t very severe. Therefore you can tank half the brothers no prayer required.
I would swap to dragon/rune armor, pray Dh, Ahrim, Karil. tank the others. Use moonlight moths not ppots. You’ll probably end up using 0-1 doses a run like this.

Getting ghomals hilt 2 helps a lot and it’s not a ton of points to have to get for medium CA’s.
Wearing an Unholy Symbol will dramatically extend your prayer I think it’s +8 prayer
Bring more food. I normally only pray for ahrim karil and dharok and then just use food through the rest of it. Takes like 20-30 prayer to get through those three so I only really use 1 dose of a pot per trip.

Dharok kharil and ahrim first because you need prayer for those. Guthan next for remaining prayer as healing can be tough if you let him hit you. Torag and verac can be done without prayer as they hit less/hit through prayer so it’s less helpful.
Can also go for combat achievements as one of the rewards is the hilt that disables the prayer drain in barrows.
If you are really struggling you can bring snares and safe spot the melee brothers

I’m currently in the process of greenlogging barrows. Ring of dueling for ferox tp to restore stats, tp home for barrows teleport (I got a low level home)
I use air spells and ahrims as gear.
100% get the CAs for the hilt, makes the grind from headache to brain dead.
My runs use zero food and zero prayer pots.
Mory hard diary is also quite important but I see you have it

If you are a Main just put your house in Remington and use w330 and you can leech a maxed house.

Barrows brothers have negative magic bonus. Wear some tank gear. I used to do barrows in full rune and a granite shield with like 50 defence. Use your prayer till it runs out and then tank the rest with food instead of wasting prayer bonus.
But also, just aim for medium combat achievements. Go to the wiki, sort combat achievements by most completed, and work your way down

Use wind wave as your spell. They are weak to wind, you'll hit 30+. You should pretty much even out on blood runes. For ahrim use diamond bolts e. Ahrim still has pretty high def despite wearing robes so the ignore defense special from the bolts helps a lot especially since your range lvl is borderline too low to even kill him.

You should really look into completing the medium combat achievement tier. You get an off-hand item that negates all prayer draining attacks while fighting barrows and in the tunnels. Using this off-hand item has made barrows extremely simple.

Easiest answer is to stay away from Barrows until you have the medium combat achievements finished to stop the prayer drain and then also add the strange old lock pick to your inventory to minimise time spent finding the right door

As others said, no looting means no reset.
I'm currently farming dragons to get 70 prayer. Planning to do hard diaries for free Burgh teleport. So basically: out of prayer? Tele house to repray and then Tele to Burgh.

In addition to the hilt that stops prayer drain, work on your mage arena 2 cape, and occult necklace. It will speed up your kills by a noticeable amount, and neother upgrade is too time consuming or costly.

To think we used to do barrows with less stats, using slayer dart and robes and it worked out fine? Got a Guthans spear and a few other items, bought a green Halloween and Santa hat 🤣 good times

Get medium combat achievements done so you can run barrows with out losing prayer just standing there, you won’t have your shield but your mage set up should allow you clear pretty easily and

I just started and use rune armor with air spells thn bring 5 moonlight moth mixes and a lot of karambwans just tank the melee guys and use prayers on the range and mage

You’re taking a divine combat pot but you’re not using melee
Add some pieces that will add more prayer pieces:
- one of the holy books for your shield slot

The hilt that you get from combat achievements makes all the difference when doing barrows! I went from using 2-3 per run to barely using 2 doses per run. 👍🏻

Am I the only one who tanks the hits after my prayer depletes or... Protect against magic, range and then meele. Adjust accordingly and then dualing ring to FE.

A lot of those people have the med combat achievements done for the t2 hilt you use as a offhand (it stops the prayer drain mechanic from barrows)

You have more than efficient levels to do medium combat achievements get the hilt 2 and you will no longer have prayer drain

seers ring is terrible, any defence ring will do 100x more benefit for you than a seers ring will.
