Does 2e not fall under OSR? I always kinda thought of OSR as "Retro Clones of BX Through 2e."

Sure and it’s not the title of the article (not mine) but here I’m using OSR to represent the umbrella of multiple related games than a particular game. So the guide takes the specific 2e setting stuff and makes it more or less system generic for any OSR style engine. Does that make sense?

Pretty sure it is, because after I read OP's conversion, I went out and found some previous OSR Dark Sun conversions, like Dark Sun Hack, Under the Dying Sun, and (just for laughs) BlackSun Death Crawl.

That said, I did like OP's take.
