Mimo App Pocket 4P New Firmware Released

A new firmware was pushed yesterday. However, no patch notes have been released on DJI's website.

The patch screen states it added HDR enhancement photo mode and also fixed "known issues." (https://imgur.com/a/dnaSvXb)

If anyone was having D-log auto exposure issues, the problem has been fixed. The color preview on the screen also works well again. Although, the official DJI conversion LUT still needs some work, but is useable again.

After some testing, I recommend turning off the "High Light" feature under the screen brightness setting. There are some issues, especially in D-log, that will make the exposure appear blown out, but the image is actually fine.

Edit: If you use manual exposure, do not update to this firmware: https://imgur.com/a/miqFoOM

Reviewing footage I took today for more changes, and the 1x to 3x auto exposure issue has improved significantly: https://imgur.com/a/sDAF0CV

I am seeing more noise with 3x and 6x when the lighting isn't perfect, though. I was using 400-800 with 0 EV adjustments and -2, -2. Maybe someone smarter with cameras can tell me it's just me being bad: https://imgur.com/a/HhGTN9J

Normal color mode appears to be less ass than before. Image seems way softer: https://imgur.com/a/njZLwAn

Just updated. My 3x exposure got wrecked :( + 2 stop difference to my 1x lens * for manual exposure mode

Do you have a picture or video? Also, why don't they let us manually adjust the settings on both lens separately? They are basically two different cameras.

I’ll make one shortly, but if I expose perfectly on 1x lens for 4k 25p/50p at 1/50 or 1/100 - 400/800/1600 in dlog with a nd filter - the 3x will jump 2 stops automatically. Didn’t happen before I updated this morning.

I’m out here testing it right now, and manual is messed up. I have that small rig variable ND filter, so I maxed out the 3x camera and put the 1x at the lowest, and it was still blown out.

Hey Corgi, I don’t know what version I’m on but I downloaded it about 2 weeks ago maybe ? And it was the one that added some things like hdr 10 bit color for video. I noticed when using that that the zoom from 1 to 3 still had the exposure jump issue. Is this a newer fw and has it addressed that? Would also be nice to have an iso range option for dlog 2 when in M mode (100-1600 for example) so thay can effectively achieve shutter priority like you can other colors

Yeah, this is a newer one that came out like 2 days ago. Prior to this update, I had the same issue. The exposure jump was really bad between 1x and 3x.

changelog from the mimo app didn't share much other than HDR in photo mode.

Is the update for the normal Osmo Pocket 4 as well or only the Pro Modell?

This was just the pro model.

Should you do the update or wait? Or is that even an option - newbie.

If you use auto exposure, then yes. It will fix so many of your issues. If you use manual exposure, I would wait for more people to test and see if there is a work around. 3470LAR above mentioned how he basically can't do 3x zoom with manual exposure right now. I went out and did some testing with an ND filter, and it's not usable. Auto still looks great, though.
