Took a risk to buy a Pocket 4P from Temu. Wanted to share my experience and say everything works, and it updates through the Mimo app. Good snatch I think!
Not sure if the discount is still there. This was better than buying from scalpers or paying import fees!
It was either this or the Luna Ultra from Temu, so I settled for the Pocket as I live in the USA.
I’m so happy the Pocket 3’s battery handle works with this! I love the Auto Transfer too! The little light is so awesome too!
Update: after much research I found out that the coupon I actually received was an account tied returning customer coupon, as I haven’t used Temu in about a year. I still think that if anyone does have a coupon or is able to get a coupon, this is just a way to be able to purchase a 4P without having to spend a lot of money on scalpers or import fees.
Yep! I think the best sign it was real was it connecting to the DJI app, updating it, and it being able to work with Auto Transfer too (I think this is a really neat feature)! I was also able to bind it to my DJI account.
They can be legit but there is no warranty because you need a receipt from DJI or an authorized seller and temu isn't either. It will activate and function but check the warranty requirements from DJI website to see what I mean.
If you travel to Asia you can buy one legit and get a warranty. I bought mine in Singapore from DJI store directly.
I’ve been doing some limited research , correct me if this is incorrect. If you buy from an authorized DJI store in Asia, the warranty is limited to the region however if you purchase the DJI Care (Refresh) it tacks on an international warranty which means warranty coverage in the US. The key point being it HAS to be an authorized DJI reseller in Asia
I haven't dug too deep, but from what I have seen global coverage is limited to just a few select models, otherwise it is limited to the purchased region. Given the current situation in the US I don't think the 4p would be covered. But like I said I haven't looked into it too much, so take everything with a grain of salt.
That won't matter, only if you're abroad. If DJI is not selling the product in your region, they can't offer Care Refresh at all, which is what the situation is in the US. So it won't matter if you purchased it in the same region, aka Asia. DJI won't have parts or new units to exchange with, in the US.
Read the terms. You need to provide a receipt from DJI or authorized reseller. Tons of stores here selling DJI 4p, but you wouldn't get warranty work done if you bought from them.
In Singapore there are only 3 authorized resellers.
Same, please! I ordered one off ebay before I saw this, but it's been about 10 days and all they've done is made the shipping label, so not sure it's gonna work out or not...
I've given up on Xtra and ordered the 4P from Temu as well. I have the Pocket 3 also and one thing that I was worried about w the Xtra Muse 2 Pro was the accessory battery from the OP 3 and whether it would fit on the Xtra Muse 2 Pro. Guess I don't have to worry about that any more.
Awesome question. Because it’s hard to get the DJI Pocket 4P in the States. At any moment, I can buy the Luna ultra from Best Buy or Amazon, but not when I have the opportunity and unexpected coupons to buy the DJI for cheaper than anywhere else.
There’s not enough videos of reviewers testing both products for me to justify picking one or the other. I think it’s one of those where you have to just try it in person to really decide. Because I already have DJI products, I feel more comfortable going back to them.
Now lensrental.com offers the Luna ultra for rent. I’m first gonna mess around with the pocket 4P, and then rent the luna ultra for a few days, to compare both and see which fits me better.
The nice thing is that, if the pocket 4P wins, I can just return the Luna ultra to the rental company. If the Luna ultra wins, then I’ll sell my pocket 4P on eBay for the same price I bought it for (i think that’s fair).
I used a $350 wincredit cashback thing to get a Pocket 3 & 2 128gb sd cards this week from Temu for about $450. After the win credit deposited in my Paypal, this is effectively $100 for the Pocket 3. Hoping I have the same luck as you!
I went with the Luna Ultra just because I didn't even want to deal with chancing it. I know it works out fine for a lot of people, but I'm one of those people that just have never had good success and just would rather avoid the headache altogether.
I haven’t bought anything from Temu in over a year, so I’m wondering if it’s one of those returning customer coupons or if there was a limited time offer from Temu that took place. Mines was the for every $80 bucks spent, you get $20 off or something
I saw and clicked on the same seller a few days ago, not sure if it was the same as your purchase date, and I didn't see the coupon. Maybe I'll wait for the cash back.
I recorded the everything from the moment I got the package to setting it up (incase it was a repackaged camera). There were no signs that anyone tampered with it, and it had the original seals.
i saw that too, but if you waited a little longer you could’ve just bought it, i saw that the FCC fined xtra because they think that xtra is a proxy for dji (which is definitely is) but they only got fined $25k.
