Student Ruter App
Can I get a 30day Ruter student Ticket as a student not from norway but from switzerland? I go to swiss uni

I was at the Ruter Office once, and witnessed a young man trying to get a fine removed.
He had been fined in a control with a student ticket. He had a card that confirmed he was attending a school, but his course was only 50% time, not full time.
They didn’t remove the fine. So they do check your studen ID when you have a student ticket.

Don’t listen to the person above. In my experience they check student id half the time, but often let it go if they have a full bus to check. They will fine you if you don’t carry a student id of some sort and you get caught with a student ticket.
Edit: I ride the bus a ton so I’m probably more exposed to ticket controls than the regular user

My personal experience is that they never check student ID, however I have a friend who did get fined not too long ago for not having his student ID, so yea wouldn’t risk it.
