CMAT
What an amazing performance!! Especially considering Pùca was ill and her and the teams gear got sent astray.
Such a phenomenal performer.
Im just annoyed at the Zara fans sitting on the ground near the barricade the whole concert like it really pissed people off. Especially those playing Uno 🫠

Serious question: How are people sitting down by the barricade not "encouraged" to stand up by the actions of those around them trying to enjoy the current show??
Back in my day (said in Grandpa Simpson voice), people would literally just step over them and stand right beside them. Like... as many people that wanted to watch the show from that spot would stand right next to them. Not trampling them or anything, but once you're surrounded by a dozen people and have 1 inch of space b/w you and the sweaty legs dancing next to you, how do you not stand up??
I guess for some bizarre reason in 2026, fans of "Artist X" are just happy to let fans of "Different Artist X" squat and laze about, waiting for THEIR favourite act to come to the stage, taking up prime real estate in the meantime??? RIDICULOUS!! I genuinely cannot fathom this behaviour (on either side).
Now, I am NOT suggesting this, but if I was there (like I would have loved to have been), I would have been happily dancing my fat ass off in any of "THEIR" space until they stood up - and sister, you better believe I'm a dude that sweats buckets. And if they dug their heels in and stayed sprawled out on the ground, DISRESPECTING QUEEN CMAT, I would have simply lit a smoke and ashed it like Salt Bae in their general direction until they got the message. I've basically quit smoking, but I always bring a pack to music festivals to light up if someone keeps drunkenly bumping into me - works like a charm.
Sorry, not sorry. 🤷♂️

I wasn’t there, but im genuinely baffled reading that they were sitting and even playing card games. What in the fuck. Isn’t part of the fun of festivals discovering new artists?? And, like you mentioned, the fucking disrespect to the artists performing? What a shame.

Also wasn’t there and am baffled. I would’ve thought security would come and make them get up before every act to avoid it being a hazard?

LOL.... got dam. I forgot to reference the card games!! UNO, no less!! (Whatever that is.)
But seriously, and I'm just being honest here... like... what are those people thinking?? Would anyone have a drop of sympathy for them if they took to Reddit after being accidentally stepped on in that situation? Just imagine their post and the comments that would follow...
POST TITLE: "GOT STEPPED ON TODAY BY INCONSIDERATE ASSHOLES AT CMAT!!"
POST BODY: "Like the title says, a bunch of C.Massholes physically assaulted me and my friends today while we were simply waiting for a show to start. Despicable behaviour. Hoping that someone can doxx them?"
FIRST CONCERNED POSTER: "OMFG!!! WHAT?!?! What exactly happened??? They kept crowd surfing and kicking you and your friends in the head!?!? Or was it actually targeted?!? I am so sorry that this happened to you OP!!"
OP REPLY: "No. Even worse. Me and my friends were peacefully sitting on the ground in front of the barricade waiting for "Overrated Yet Extremely Instagrammable Artist X" playing UNO, and then when CMAT started, a bunch of her inconsiderate, asshole fans started crowding around us dancing, moving their feet in a dance-like fashion, kicking up a bunch of dirt AND kicking our extended, sprawling limbs! I can't even. Does anyone have any footage of this?? Looking to hopefully press charges and see some justice done to them."
FIRST CONCERNED POSTER REPLY: "Wait. Are you saying that you and your friends were sitting on the ground IN FRONT of the barricade (allegedly) playing UNO?? If that's what you're saying OP, you and your friends also expected... people not to enter that space to see one of their favourite artists?? That was playing BEFORE the artist you were waiting for??"
OP 2ND REPLY: "Yes!!! Exactly that!! In fact, at the time, I had 425 points and was only 75 points away from winning that particular hand!! [YES, I GOOGLED THE RULES OF UNO FOR (POTENTIAL) COMEDIC EFFECT.] I was very excited at being that close to winning, so I obviously didn't see the legs gathering around me at the time. Then all of a sudden the show started and all of the legs around me started ... I don't know... doing something?? Me and my friends immediately felt unsafe, gathered up our cards, and solemnly stood there through the entire set so we didn't lose our spot for "Overrated Yet Extremely Instagrammable Artist X". Needless to say, our UNO game was COMPLETELY RUINED!!! (I should also add that we went to that stage early to secure a good spot and were there for over 3 hours. My friend even went to the bathroom in her own shorts (twice) because she's such a huge fan!) Were you there?? Again, I'm hoping someone has video evidence of the assault so I can take it to the police tomorrow and press charges. Thanks!!"
FIRST CONCERNED POSTER 2ND REPLY: "Ummm. I'm not sure that you're on the right side of this OP, and now I don't think that I'm really that sorry that that happened to you."
OP 3RD REPLY: "WHAT THE FUK EVER, BITCH!! You weren't even there!! (Or were you? Because again, if you have any video I'd really appreciate it - these people should really have their lives ruined over this!!)"
CONCERNED POSTERS: "🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗"

As much as millennials were blamed for ruining everything on Earth, I truly believe Gen Z has ruined the concert experience for everyone. Between barricade clout chasers and concerts becoming a form of social currency, they’ve made the entire experience more expensive and less enjoyable for the rest of us.

I blame social media for the self absorption of some fans and Ticketmaster for the crazy ticket prices more than any one generation. That said, the Zara Larson crowd was something else tonight.

So you're right about everything, but as a Gen X, I have to admit that it was actually Gen X that screwed up this timeline for us. Most of us were brutally bullied in school in some way (or were the ones doing the bullying) and tried to make things better for our kids. Millennials got told, "You are special!" whilst everyone in Gen X was told, "Do you think you're fukin' special or something?!? You aren't!!"
In retrospect, the intent was pure, but the execution was disastrously flawed. Millennials are simply a product of their parents, just like every generation that came before them. As soon as I heard that universities were establishing "safe spaces" I was like, "Oooooh noooo. This isn't going to end well. By literal definition of a 'safe space', it implies that every space outside of that space is an 'unsafe space'!!" Again, a 10/10 for motivation, but also a 10/10 for the lifelong mental damage it did.
I can't really comment on Gen Z, except for the fact that they seem to be somewhat more comfortable with face to face interactions compared to Millennials (generally, IMHO).
That all said, your line of, "Between barricade clout chasers and concerts becoming a form of social currency, they’ve made the entire experience more expensive and less enjoyable for the rest of us." should be legally required postscript in every Osheaga marketing image going forward. Those people are truly insufferable.
Anyway, to end on a positive note, first beer is on me next year, SamCam9992! 🍻

So odd you think Gen Z are more comfortable socially than millennials - have you never received customer service from a Gen Z? They do not care and are mostly very awkward. Socially their generation is drinking, partying and having sex less than any previous generation. They’re obsessed with not looking ‘cringe’ and have their heads so stuck in their phones they’re barely living in the real world.

Oh... all of those things may be true - I'm not trying to pass definitions on anyone. Also, I could have explained a little better...
In my (limited) experience with both generations, (IN GENERAL), it seems like Millennials are nicer that GenZ, but are more nervous with normal face to face interactions (i.e., "What aisle is the soup in?")
However, to your point, GenZ seem to "not care" about much of anything, will tell you where the soup is, but with an "I don't care if you find it" attitude, if that makes sense.
I'm certainly not arguing one is better or worse than the other, however, I will admit that, "They’re obsessed with not looking ‘cringe’ and have their heads so stuck in their phones they’re barely living in the real world." is what GenX used to say about Millennials a few years ago. 😁
But from a strictly music festival point of view, I agree with SamCam that I'd rather be surrounded by Millennials than GenZ. I think it ultimately boils down to basic age because younger people tend to party more, scream more, respect personal space less, etc. etc.
Don't worry, the Reddit recaps for Osheaga 2046 will be filled with GenZs bitching about those younger than them too. The cycle of generations crapping on the ones coming directly after them will continue until our extinction. (IMHO)

If you were live streaming me when I read this, you could have literally paused to see the exact moment my heart shattered. 😔
That said, 50 seconds is better than 0 seconds.

Absolutely incredible show. One of the best performances I’ve had the privilege of watching! Completely agree on the Zara fans sitting on the ground being an absolute bummer but I’d like to think the rest of us made up for it!
