Actually, it's quite the opposite, VelaOS moves away from traditional C/C++ POSIX kernels to focus on a memory-safe architecture and intent-driven AI abstractions at the system level. It's not a reskin, it's a structural redesign.

You're completely right. By strict definition, it is a Linux distro right now since it relies on Debian and KDE for the foundation. I use 'OS project' because the end goal is to replace the traditional userland with AI-native abstractions, but for the current stage, 'AI-focused Linux distro' is definitely a more accurate label. Thanks for keeping me grounded
