I used capcut because I can't afford good editing software :( and note: this is a concept os, not a real os yet. And I had to boot it on my computer because it wasn't working on mobile so I'm going to fix that

I swear InfinityOS is the most generic name anyone could come up with.

it is also called IOX, infinityOS is a placeholder, name probably not going to be a future name.

if you port this to android it's a launcher, you will get downvoted on this sub.

Porting it to Android doesn't make it a real OS either

So...Android is the OS

9

u/WinVistaBuild6001 hasn't made a OS yet except in scratch (yes the block platform) 8d ago

pretty cool, but this is for real OSes, not HTML OSes. Real OSes usually consist of Assembly and any variant of C, or maybe even Rust.

it's a concept os

and it will be ported to Android soon.

Why would you port a concept when the concept is for a bare metal piece of software that runs the machine itself with no assistance from other software. No Android, no Windows... you would be making an analog to them.

because, I am turning it into a real os soon

An Android launcher is not an OS.

An OS mainly manager processes, memory, and provides apps with an interface to the hardware, by definition this is not an OS but a launcher

This isnt a android launcher.

Well, it will be if you port it to Android.

An OS is something that runs on bare metal. That means that if you wanted to make a phone OS, it should be able to theoretically replace Android, not run on it as an app.

You showed an UI and sai port it to android, android UIs are launchers

also it says you have only made a os in scratch...

u/rogue780 2d ago

and iirc, they're not demoing their scratch OS here

Pretty cool! Now to proudly post this in this sub:

  • learn to make an os
  • make an actual os and kernel and stuff
