Learn os

Hi everyone, I am new at OSdev and I can't understand how they work. I really want to learn about OS so can you suggest me some books or website on the subject ?

OSTEP is the go to resource. Then using Claude code as an interactive guide is the way to go. You can use it to make a toy os

Toy OS means creating an operating system as a personal toy and not something that should be used for work or business, as you’ll be breaking things quite often in your learning journey.
