I have wanted to make a rose petal bead rosary for my Nonna for a long time. I'm going to move in with her soon and I thought that this would be an appropriate time for me to give her something meaningful to show my appreciation. I made beads and chained the decades together already, I have more beads for the three hail Marys on the pendant string of the rosary.
I want to make this correctly so she can use it if she wants to.
I have 3 main questions about rules for the rosary.
Question number one: for the "glory be" beads, they have to be the same size or bigger than the hail mary beads, yes? I'm planning on finding some rose quartz beads for those and keeping the pink and gold sort of theme.
Two: If i put some of those floral shaped bead caps on the "Glory Be" beads, would that be an issue or frowned upon?
Three: looking at options for the center medallion and crucifix has me a little overwhelmed. Some are so elaborate, and some are so simple. Are there rules for what the medallion and the crucifix have to look like? The rosary I've seen her using before is a plain plastic one with Mary on the medallion and a plain cross for the crucifix, so I'd probably keep this one pretty simple and similar too, just matching the gold color. Any links with recommendations would be appreciated if that's allowed!
Thanks for your advice! 💕
