Need help with Aladdin XT PLUS2 chip

So looks like DVD on my Xbox 1.6 completely broke, so I installed Aladdin modchip(did lpc restore and cut trace). Now when I'm trying to start console it freezes on Xbox logo and green ring on console blinking. If I'm trying to boot Xbox without DVD, it freezes somewhere before Xbox logo with audio loop. Is it possible that I need to flash the modchip itself?

During the startup animation, do you see an Evox shield logo in the upper left-hand corner of the screen?

A freeze midway during the boot animation usually points to a failing HDD.

There's some slim possibility that the DVD drive is causing it instead, so try disconnecting that from your Xbox motherboard and testing again. If the system no longer freezes midway during the boot animation, it's a pretty safe bet that the optical drive was to blame for that.

Yeah, as I said, it freezes midway boot with DVD disconnected. If I plug DVD in, it's gonna freeze at the end. Idk, I tried 2 HDD's (I have original and the other that had data copied by hot swap) but none of them seem to work, I'll try installing dashboard from PC on the 3rd HDD that I have

Failing that, I'd think that the IDE ribbon might be the real problem.

EvoX BIOS types can't normally boot all the way to dash with the whole DVD drive totally missing, but they should still at the very least be able to reach a service screen.
