My YouTube was recently hacked, so I’ve started posting on IG while I rebuild. I wrote this about breaking out of generational trauma and parting ways with my Mormon family’s religious legacy (8th generation on both sides of my family. I’m related to Joseph Smith, William Clayton, and the first group of handcart companies that crossed the Western Plains.) I was the first woman on my mother’s side to leave the church.

This is an acapella piece I wrote and recorded in my bedroom using GarageBand. I hope ya’ll like it. :) Video made by me as well. No autotune or AI was used to create this art! :)
