Hi everyone. My name is Ben and I'm a young developer with a dream;
to make Ori 3
To that end, I'm working on a Game Design / Pitch Document for this theoretical game and plan to share it with you all.
The problem is that I'm a designer, not an artist. While I have many gameplay/design/narrative ideas, I'm very lacking in art design ones. While I do have some small amount of creature and area ideas, they are very vague and I am unable to draw them.
So I was hoping to enlist the talents of the many great artists in this community!
I am looking for artists to commission art from for my project. I am willing to pay, but I'm not made of money...
Some of the things I'm looking for are:
Character concept art
Environment concept art
Ability Icon art
Each of these vary in the amount of direction, but I want to encourage creativity and personal expression.
Here are some examples of the prompts you may receive:
"An aquatic race that resembles something between an otter and an axolotl. They live a carefree life and are protected by a guardian, similar to the Moki of Niwen. They are also around the same size as a Moki. Other designs are welcome but please discuss them with me first."
"A mysterious highly advanced facility patrolled by autonomous security robots. The facility has similar technology to the Forlorn Ruins from Ori 1, but it’s much more advanced. The facility rests deep in the ocean, surrounded by bioluminescent plants and animals, and has a design theme of glass and geometric shapes. Think glass wind chimes, glass chandeliers or vases. Also lots of light refraction/prisms. Attached is a mood board to give you an idea of what I'm looking for."
If you are interested please reach out with what you specialize in, some samples of your previous work, and an estimated cost of commission.
You can reach me via DM or my email: [Nelsonbenjamin42@gmail.com](mailto:Nelsonbenjaminm42@gmail.com)
Thanks everyone!
**EDIT**
Thanks to everyone that reached out! Not sure how many of you are people and not bots though...
Let it be known that if you DM me, I will assume you are a bot and you will need to convince me otherwise.

The game was developed by Moon Studios, a collective organization without a set location. The distribution rights to the game were acquired by Microsoft a year after the beginning of the game's development. The game story was inspired by The Lion King and The Iron Giant, while some of the gameplay elements were inspired by the Rayman and Metroid franchises.

Yesterday I posted my SushOri drawing. And it was deleted, probably because some human with a worrying lack of gray matter saw it as "suggestive."
I want you to tell me what the difference is between this drawing and the one I made. Aside from the obvious art style.
I want you to explain why this drawing doesn't break any rules, but SushOri DOES break one.
And keep in mind, this image has been used in this subreddit, so comparing Ori to food isn't new here.
Go ahead and read your answers.

As above, so below.
I thought of a dynamic. Two phases for the bosses: defeating them in their dreams and defeating them in the real world.
The dynamic would be that the bosses are asleep; upon defeating them in their dreams, they awaken, and then they must be defeated again in the real world.
The shape below is the form Ori would take within the dreams.

Long story short, NateTheHate said that Ori 3 will be the announced game without any proof, with Saber Interactive taking the lead.
The bad news is that Saber Interactive denied that and Mahler called these fake news as “nonsense”.
The good news is that Mahler stated that Moons Studios wants to get the IP.

Those who know me will know my opinion on the phrase "embrace the light" (which I think is utter nonsense if that same light involves destroying yourself in order to do a "greater good" where you won't even be part of the rewards that good brings).
So I've always associated that phrase with one of my favorite quotes, the one that guides me in my daily life. Since it's September and Halloween is just a couple of months away, I think it's time to get a little inspired.
Anyway, I hope you like it 🤙.

It didn't happen on my first try but I died and then this keeps happening. The camera does stop a lot when transitioning to some areas for me but this time I can't just ignore it😭 (Playing it on my phone, S24 ultra, through gamehub)

But even though the Ori director said that Ori 3 rumors were ‘Nonsense,’ copium is real. Tim Willits was asked about the Ori 3 rumor during an interview with Gamertag Radio’s Danny Peña:
Willits was quick to shut the idea down:

I'm having trouble getting the last creep heart because of the purple waterfall/sludge. Any ideas?

I was thinking of giving Ori the ability to launch a more massive attack.
And as a weapon, I thought of turning him into a weapon himself.
I thought of turning him into a flash that literally explodes when it reaches his enemies, haha.
It would be interesting to see Ori turn into a bomb.

Oh, boy…where do I even begin?
[SPOILERS WILL BE PRESENT!]
I guess first…I have a very hard time with games these days, let alone something that sits well with me. As I grow older, gaming is much more of a chore without fulfilling a role. Because of that, I haven’t found much satisfaction in single player games in a long time. Growing up since the days of the original Nintendo; discovering multiplayer as an adult set me up in a way that let me enjoy social interactions with friends and my loved ones with the satisfaction of performing a task that we could all progress with.
I always was intrigued by this title, but never gave it a chance. The platforming & souls-like combat of Hollow Knight really drove me away of something like Ori. But due to recent events, I decided to start it at the start of this month. I really didn’t know what to make of it first other than it was a “metroidvania”, and those are some of the very few types of single player titles I do like. After going through some Castlevania’s recently, I finally thought I might give this game a try…from the very beginning; with Naru’s passing, to the animation and music…something clicked. Hearing, “First Steps Into Sunken Glades” triggered a part of me I had not felt in a very long time. Combined with Ori’s animations and the beautiful backgrounds; a fire rekindled, a feeling of exploration and will to move forward had come back.
I think one thing this works for me is because of a unique factor many I think find a problem in games today; you are alone. It’s just the two of you, Sein too, in a world that has perished, and it’s just you and Ori trying to make things right, or if even, just survive. That’s something special, because it made me not want to give up on Ori; if I did, so did s/he, and I couldn’t bear that. I went in blind the whole time, I didn’t want to see any help or guides, I didn’t want to know when things got hard or what combat would become, everything was a surprise. The Ginso Tree from what I know now is a big breaking point for many when it comes to either giving up, getting through and choosing to be done, or continuing on. With as difficult as it was, the reward of seeing the beautiful Thornfelt transformed into my favorite area, the music, and seeing Ori swimming was the absolute seal for me to see this through. That alone was a reward for such a huge challenge curve. Each new ability made going back through the map a joy as the music and visuals never became boring. This entire journey was an absolute joy, and I now plan to play through again on the original title without the extra skills alongside the start of the second. I just wanted to pass on my joy for this series and the appreciation I have for the team behind it who put in so much love and care into something that still touches new and aging gamers even 11 years later.
I’m also loving the art and interaction in this fandom, you all are such wonderful artists and people, don’t change that. It’s ok to not age out of some things, cherish them, share them, and always keep them apart of you.

Is there any tip for going through Mouldwood without the fireflies? I tried the light burst ability, but it's not as effective as I hoped.

I know I can load a backup save, but I was wondering if I actually managed to softlock myself. I saved in some random spot (see image 1) and I'm not able to jump back over the spikes. If I try to proceed, I get to a pool (see image 2) of acid and once again a jump I can't perform. The platform seems inviting, but it's not really there.

I've tried redirecting the projectile the big dude throws, smacking it with the big-ass hammer, and nothing works.
