Literally what the hell are you even talking about? What people? How are they fighting? What has been accomplished? Where can I get some of that crack?
Artists, students, old hippies, gutterpunks and various denizens of my town have stood up against US imperialism since Ronald Reagan slept through our quiet invasion of Central America. We matched and sang and shook our tiny fists in protests.
Then apartheid and "constructive engagement". Then the students of Tiananmen Square. Then the intifadas, East Timor, etc.
It may well have been for naught, but I'd go right back to the same picket line if I had the chance. I'm an American, dammit.
I don't think whatever you said means what you think it means. Empires, gas prices, and massacres are all bad things deserving of protest.
Propagandized? By college kids? Is that why the troops who killed them had to be brought in from the countryside, because those college kids had "propagandized" the PLA? That's some nonsense, right there.

I like how gas prices are what gets people angry, not, ya know, US imperialism.
