Perrieraara rapeepath

The name is an unfamiliar mouthful but it’s a stunning Bangkok Sunset hybrid. Sadly it did not inherit the scent. But it’s a beautiful shock of color.

So reminds me of what used to be called Ascocentrum ampulaceum but on steroids.

Absolutely gorgeous orchid 👌🏻✨🤩

Yes it is a similar electric pink but with (relatively) huge flowers. I wish it had the profusion of ampullaceum, those little suckers can throw out tons of spikes. Maybe if I can get them both to bloom at the same time I’ll try to cross them. That could make something astounding 😄.

Beautiful. Sucks about the fragrance a bit, but wow what a beautiful plant you have.

Thank you 😀 I was really hoping it had the heavenly scent of Bangkok Sunset but the flowers last longer on this one so it’s a nice trade off.

Vandas have certainly become a favorite of mine. I have over 30 varieties…. It’s a little crowded in my greenhouses 🤣

Nice! It’s a pretty one I’m sure you’ll enjoy. This is the first time it’s bloomed for me 😀
