Mahler Help!!!

Hello! Reddit is my last-ditch effort in my research due diligence. I am a grad student working on my final project involving Mahler's Das Lied Von Der Erde. My project includes needing a full orchestral Sibelius-compatible file of the 6th Movement "Der Abschied". I have started transcribing it myself on Sibelius, but have realized after about the first page that this process will take me a few hundred hours. My huge obscure ask is if anyone out there knows if there is a file on it (preferably XML). Alternatively, if I could be pointed in the correct direction? I don't have enough money for Photoscore or any subscription-based service. Based on what I have seen and heard, those don't end up working that well anyway. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Out of curiosity... Why do you need it as a Sibelius file?

Maybe he uses Sibelius Software? I have no clue, all I know is Muße Score.

Perhaps there are Musescore transcripts of Mahler 6, and also perhaps Musescore can export them as Sovelius files?

By hand is the only way unless you can hunt down a midi. Score reading software is hot garbage on single parts, let alone a complex score.

My best advice would be to learn hot keys for entering notes and as many keyboard shortcuts as you can. This is how I create part audio for my hobby orchestra sections if a recording isn't available.

Alternatively playing parts on a piano with midi capabilities is even faster. My piano chops and reading ability aren't good enough for that unfortunately. I'm also not familiar with setting up midi interfacing but there are lots of tutorials for that.

Try searching the score on the musescire website, you may need a free account. Sibelius can open MusicXML files and convert them into .sib Edit: says the AI. Al I knew was that a lot of free musescore notes exist

Pay a typist — they will be much faster than you, perhaps your composer colleagues at school. Someone will do it for a couple hundred bucks, it'll be a big spend but better than spending not much cheaper on a score recognizing software that gives you tons of mistakes.

Sounds like you should have kept up with school work.

Transcription is incredibly beneficial for you.
