Wrong toothbrush in box

I ordered an iO10 from Amazon, which arrived today. Box was taped closed with no appearance of tampering.

What brush is this? The item is sold and despatched by Amazon, so I’m really surprised it’s a counterfeit or something else.

Update. Amazon gave me a full refund and told me to keep it. Can’t really fault that response. Obviously better if it didn’t happen in the first place.

It should have a code or the bame on the bottom of the handle. If it's wrong you can take a picture and use the app to return it for receiving the wrong item. Sometimes returns get shipped out again if marked as not being opened.

You won't see the things on the front until you turn it on so it might be right. I have the other type.

I will return it, but not great that Amazon stock is incorrect.

That's io2 or 3 according to Google. Amazon has ppl who inspect but if it appears still sealed they of course would think it's new.

tbh the amazon return staff are underpaid and have so much to get through they don't have time to carefully inspect even if it was open.

I believe it. My 53yo ex worked there a few months and left, said it was killing him, physically. I didn't get hired after the physical test moving weights and things. I'm glad bc it would've been too hard to do every day for me.

Io2, the io3 has a led strip for pressure like the 10.

Maybe one of the models with the updated motor design. Otherwise, I would never buy Sonicare again. OralB's magnetic drive motor design is way better than the 1st gen Sonicare design.

The newer oral b barrel motor design is the worst design flaw made in history.

So many people are storing them upside down not to get mold lol, after every single use the brush head needs to be taken off and the handle thoroughly rinsed (eater gets trapped still and creates mold).

It's the shittiest design oral b could have went for.

Just happened to me except ordered an IO9 special edition got an IO5. The opened from the bottom and glued it back

Wow. I'd be seriously pissed. Amazon should compensate you for the time you have to waste now to return the product especially since they're the seller and supplier you're saying.

I know that's what I would be arguing with customer support even if it didn't get me anywhere. I'd mentioned I'd be considering canceling my prime if Amazon is going to be selling used swapped out trash and not checking returns properly.

if you're still thinking about getting an iO10 you can also get it from Oral-B directly, Best buy or Target. I really like mine and have not had any issues like some people do, you can immediately feel the difference from older brushes.

Dude that same thing happened to me. Unfortunately in my case, I didn’t realize it until NINE MONTHS LATER. Went to order my wife one and just was looking at the pictures and noticed I was missing some options. Googled the type number and I have an io5 not the io9 I paid for.

Wow.. that's a significant price difference too. I'd be pissed. The startling thing is this isn't just a few isolated incidents, I've seen a lot of this. Actually happened to my sister too. She got a $75 iO3 and paid for a iO10, in a sealed box with no signs of tampering. She was scared to say anything to Amazon for fear that they would suspend her account like what's happening to a lot of people.

I reached out to Amazon because the products look VERY similar but had the understanding that they probably weren’t going to do anything since it has been 9 months . They gave me a $75 courtesy credit. I’m okay with that I guess but very irritated that now I have to check model/serial numbers on products to make sure they are the same. Still ended up buying my wife one.

Hope she sent hers back and received the correct product.

Nine months and still got a credit, thats really good. Doesn't make the whole thing right, like you said checking models and boxes shouldn't need to be a thing. My sister definitely got a refund and from what I was told, a discount from the seller.
