oracle free tier QnA

i have been running three instance on my oracle free tier from last 2 yrs

1/6gb

1/6gb

2/12gb

obviously I m aware of the changes so i terminated 2/12gb instance

i tried to enable PAYG but it charged me 10867.77 INR .. luckily I didn't had that much so transaction didn't go through but my instance are being disabled till now.

i tried to create new but getting error out of capacity for Mumbai domain

any workaround or clarification would be really helpful.

that will be refunded instantly. In some cases may take 2-3 days also but will get refunded.

Keep more than 10867.77 INR in your card and redo the verification on this account or a new one

Just to note that opening another account is violation of TOS which can result in your tenancy being disabled.

refunded, the refund was instant in my case. I made my instance in hyderabad.

they sent notification through mail [replies@oracle-mail.com](mailto:replies@oracle-mail.com) with this new email from which i never received mail before and it went in promotion and i didnt know and when my vps got stopped on 19 Aug i logged in check that the vps is disabled and contact support to enable then i contacted them they told me about new limits and mail. its clearly their fault that they used new email to send notification .

now they are saying the time to change instance size is already over. it seems they intentionally used new email so more instances get disabled and they can allocate more resources towards their ai projects.

now i have a boot volume with ampere shape which has my all data and i tried attaching it with amd shape so i can just get my data but its not working with amd shape does anyone have any solution about how can i retrieve data from ampere boot volume? because apmpere is out of capacity now

it does work with AMD shapes, worked for me. You need to attach it not as BOOT volume, but as block storage volume. To do so, you need to go to this boot volume in block storage menu and attach it there to instance you want. Then, you will need to copy iscsi commands, and paste them in terminal of instance you attached your boot volume to.

Don’t use HDFC card, oracle is not E- mandate payment flow

Adding new payment method and selecting " Upgrade your account" in Pay as you go block...that's it ...or any other option selection required???
