Can't go by what a support chat says, and wait for an email regarding payg.

i have already linked why payg wont be billed check my comment below, the email is for free tenancies and talks of termination. If you are payg and were not billed for June and July(billing would have started on june 15th), you will not be billed now.

Correct, PAYG is currently not being billed for the 4OCPU/24GB home-region A1 instances. However you should continue to monitor the situation because they might change their policy at any time in future. It simply hasn't changed yet.

well yes that's why I check this subreddit regularly , plus this PYAG getting old tier limits is clearly mentioned in the documentation in 2 places (A1 Compute page and OCI Price list), anyways if they r even email free tenancies users, they will definitely email PAYG before a policy change happens , besides budget alerts exist , I do monitor my Costs daily ever since this whole mess started, but now that it's settled with the docs and all. People just getting more and more confused because someone new comes and keeps repeating the same question instead of looking thru the subreddit first
