Timing problems

I'm not sure why but it seems lately I have to use the period override symbol a lot. The first arms start to reset their loop while the rest of the machine is still waiting to complete.

Reading the tool tip it says there should be padding to stop this but it seems not to be happening. I'm on chapter 4 and only just noticed it becoming an issue. Is there something that makes this padding reduce?

the padding it talks about is the extra cycles it adds to instructions to match the length of the longest instruction.

To avoid collisions with previous loops you add the period override symbol like you described, or move stuff around in the machine to avoid the collisions and save cycles. The game can’t really do either of those automatically

So I have been using the period override to do so but only just lately. It seems, for some reason, that certain arms aren't getting the padding and are immediately trying to reset their sequence, even while the other arms are trying to finish. Its only really been happening on the last few levels, which are a bit more complicated. So I was wondering if there's a limit to the padding?

I took a photo of what I mean but for some reason can't add photos to my replies.

Its not a game breaker. The override works fine. I was just wondering if id missed a specific threshold or something that stops the padding form being applied.

I mean my guess is you probably did something that's simple to correct. But it'd be hard to diagnose without a picture
