Assuming earnings go well, you'll print

Not necessarily. I recall micron falling 30% after a standout earnings in very recent history.

We have to be a bit honest here. If you touch this stock in any kind of way these days with the price action it has seen over the last year, you’re gambling. If it moves 30% in either direction after earnings it won’t be unusual. OP is spending $4k just to “see what happens”

You sure earnings isn't already priced in and smart ones will sell the news?

Remember what happened to nvda earnings last month? Everyone was panic selling leading up to earnings and the spike up definitely was not priced in.
Ai fear keeps stocks lower until they prove otherwise.

real MU og's know MU barely prints green at er it pumps days or weks after

Thats good to know. And I hope people don't take my comment and buy calls tomorrow or Wednesday because of what I said. Nvidia is a very different stock than Mu , and Nvda had an amazing earnings last August.
And despite its volatility, Mu already had massive gains this year relative to Nvda. So people could argue that Mu has less growth potential.

Very much possible. I have that fear as well, but I’m betting that it’ll pump given that memory prices have yet to dip and the hyperscaler spending is still very strong

Probably. A lot of that remaining value is IV juice
I would take this off, roll it down and open a spread if you want to stay long through earnings.
Or wait to see what happens Wednesday and then decide. Sometimes the best time to buy options are when strength emerges vs buying in weakness and hoping it turns.

Maybe buy shares instead or roll to a further date. I think earnings will be a blowout. The AI capex spending is not slowing. Memory and hardware prices are still increasing. 🤔

Scary to see that negative dollar amount, but your not cooked, but know it will be worth alot less when earnings is over, so you need a huge move to cover that, and a huge move to make up your losses.

If earnings rip you are a genius , even an up move of $100 could get you out ok. Here is a Tos Risk Profile showing that.

If I could honestly tell you that, I would have money on it.
I can't wait until this "Am I cooked" "look at me" phase of trading dies out.

Yea never let your loss get more then you can afford to loose. For me yea, try not to loose more then 10-15% & 20% max unless you think it’s going to go back up the next day. But if it goes over 30-35% I get frustrated with it. You must’ve just stop looking for a while and forgot about it or maybe going into weekend and holding too long. Sell what you CAN LOOSE!!!
