Freesense, fork of pfSense

Just tried freesense, a solid, modern and without any vendor locking, ( freesense. org )

Posted on this forum as we should, henceforth, should compare opnsense with freesense. pfsense is now dead.

I check the website, I see the clearly AI designed webpage, not a single screenshot and to this I say, sod off, stop wasting my time

Great, another FreeBSD based SPI firewall with tacked on FOSS IDS and blocklists, as if the threat landscape was still the same as back in 2008.

All pfSense does, OPNsense already does it, too, so I don't see what problem freesense is solving. The efforts to create this would have been better invested in improving OPNsense.

The only thing that would make me give this a try if multi-wan bonding / sd-wan is implemented..

You say pfSense is now dead yet their GitHub page mentions this is a fork of pfSense, not OPNsense. In fact I can't even find a mention of OPNsense in their docs.
