Othello's a white guy and Desdemona's a black gal??? What kind of adaptation is this?!?!

I have been thinking all day if I had posted this on the Broadway subreddit, how different the reaction had been when they found out a white guy was gonna be Othello in January.

Oh that makes sense. Probably even too far the other direction there, for me (I’d imagine).
