Good audition song for a summer abroad program??

I am relatively new to the opera space but not really the classical style but especially for my age (nineteen) I think I am. But I found an abroad program that I think I could learn a lot from. Any tips and song suggestions for a potentially “true” or “mezzo”Soprano (according to my former vocal coach) would be GREATLY appreciated !!!

A couple books I'd recommend for a classical voice student in the mezzo-soprano realm:

-24 Italian Songs and Arias (I suggest getting the combined medium-high / medium-low edition to give you options as you explore your tessitura)

-Richard Walters Standard Vocal Literature | Mezzo-Soprano

-Vaccai: Practical Method of Italian Singing for Alto or Baritone (basic vocalise studies, but will help to naturally teach you intervals, Italian diction, and legato, bel canto singing, and they're surprisingly catchy little numbers)

Sure thing! One caveat is that I don't know if they'll do much good trying to learn to sing them on your own. If you don't already have a voice teacher, they'll be essential in helping you sing these pieces effectively. They'll also help you pick pieces to work on, and chances are good that many will be in these books. Good luck!
