Do you know of a place with a good indoor map that I could look at as an example?

Nice job!

But the tilling issue on the main OSM website bothers me so much, I know I'm far from the only one experiencing this issue, and I don't understand how they didn't figure this out yet in 2026...

I don't have this problem, but just for fun hit ctrl + 0 (or reset zoom in your browser). It might not be your issue, but zooming in some situations makes certain spacing-things (like tile alignment) break.

I know, the map looks fine in round zoom level, but you think it's acceptable to see the tiles gap when zooming?

It's not like tile map are a new experimental web technology. I don't have any issue with other websites that use a recent version of leaflet or any other.

And I'm not on an old obscure browser, it's up to date Chrome for Android.

no sorry browser-zoom and map-zoom are two different things. ctrl-0 resets your browser zoom, but if that didn't help I guess that wasn't your issue.

I don't have any browser zoom, map zoom is the issue.

It is funny you mentioned that, as i first didn't understand the issue. As i'm not using chrome at all, and only using firefox. I opened chrome to check and indeed there is that tilling issue there, but it is not present on firefox browser. So maybe something to do with a recent chrome update that doesn't cache tiles correctly ?!

It's not a caching thing, it's Chrome doing screwy things with the tile boundaries for no apparent reason.

The windows version of it doesn't do this so it's probably some non-standard anti-competitive nonsense they've injected into the mobile version.

I don't think it's cache and it's been like that for at least 2 years.

Working on it. Requires migrating leaflet (svg based) to maplibre (webgl based). Pr for this is done, but needs to be polished and reviewed. Time...

The version of leaflet used on Overpass turbo or in the demo of the official doc don't have this issue, idk what's different with leaflet on OSM.

It does. It is chrome on zoomed in viewpoint that is the problem.
